Episode 43: How to Prevent Muscle Loss During Weight Loss

 

In order to successfully lose weight for good, we must be able to send signals to the body that food and nutrition is plentiful, while simultaneously convincing it that metabolism and energy is needed in order to gather and catch that food. If we succeed in this goal then we should be able to achieve lasting weight loss while simultaneously protecting our vital muscle mass.

In today’s weight loss podcast, we cover the topic of keeping the body out of starvation mode because when the body enters into such a state, weight loss becomes virtually impossible!

Ricotta and Grape (or any fruit) snack… YUM!

 

Makes 1 snack Ingredients: 1 Wasa Crispbread Cracker 6 grapes, sliced in half 1/2 cup nonfat ricotta cheese 1 tsp almond butter (optional)* *could also sub this for almond extract and sugar substitute, PB2, CB2, or other sweetener.
