I just found your podcast on iTunes last night and just finished listening to episode 1.  First, I wanted to say keep up the great work.  It is so refreshing to hear some professionals who actually are knowledgable on health and fitness share their knowledge because of the abundance of uneducated “snake oil” salesmen out there! 

So, my question is this.  In episode 1, Dr.Ray mentions that he is an advicate for Leucine powder taken with your daily water to prevent slipping into a catabolic state while trying to lose weight.  After doing some research, it appears that most places sell leucine as part of a BCAA stack (together with Isoleucine and Valine AND with glutamine as part of a stack).  Can you please let me know if this is really a more effective way to prevent loss of lean muscle mass or is this just wasted money and I should just stick with the Leucine powder?  My head is spinning from all the conflicting data and I would GREATLY appreciate your input!

Give Xtend a try. It has all the BCAAs and a great flavor. My favorite is Green Apple. They way I do it is I mix 8 scoops Xtend in a gallon of water and let it sit overnight in the fridge, you dont have to do this but I do so its cold and all the BCAAs are completely dissolved.
